Hull City Council partner with UKREiiF 2023

Hull City Council has confirmed its involvement with The UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), which is set to take place between 16-18 May in Leeds.

Since 2013, Hull has seen over £5bn of private and public investment in the city, with the likes of Siemens Gamesa – one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies – Reckitt and University of Hull investing £750m.

On top of this, there has been £300m investment in cultural infrastructure, the £80m regeneration of the Fruit Market and the £25m public realm improvements.

Predominantly a manufacturing city, over the decades, Hull has seen many global brands and household names created in the city which continue to this day and is now the home of offshore wind farms.

Invest Hull will be showcasing the very best of Hull and has secured a place in the UKREiiF exhibition hall and will also be taking part in a region showcase session on Tuesday 16 May on The Cinema Stage.

The regional showcase session will allow the council the opportunity to provide UKREiiF’s delegation of investors, developers, end-users and local authorities, an insight into future plans and opportunities for the city and surrounding region.

Hull City Council Leader, Cllr Mike Ross, said: “We are delighted to be able to attend UKREiiF again this year.

“Following the success of last year, we felt it was imperative to attend once again.

“It is a brilliant opportunity for us to showcase our city and share what we have to offer to potential investors and developers, whilst also highlighting the great work the council has already done.”

Unitary authority for Kingston upon Hull, Hull City Council provides over 400 different services to over 260,000 residents.

Keith Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of UKREiiF, said: “We’re thrilled to see Hull City Council return to UKREiiF for a second year. Its continued support is truly great!

“We look forward to working with Hull City Council and to give them the opportunity to showcase their place to potential future partners.”

Led by the UK’s leading property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the second annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 16-18 May 2023.

The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
