The Island Quarter

The Island Quarter is a 36-acre space in Nottingham city centre, set to be turned into a new £1billion ‘city within a city’.

It is a unique space designed for people, where they can live, work and spend time.

The masterplan for the site has been redesigned as the first true ‘post-Covid’ development. Incorporating aspects of the ’15-minute city’ concept, and with 10,000 sq m more green space than previously planned.

Centred around a ‘green river,’ The Island Quarter will include a 223 room hotel in partnership with IHG, and have more than 20 restaurants and bars, with Canal Turn, a three-storey bar and restaurant led by Laurence Henry, set to open this summer.

The vision for the development features more than 900 residential units, nearly 60,000 sq ft of office space? and 702 student accommodation beds.
