We know it’s really important to support causes beyond ourselves and consider the community around us. That’s why we want to highlight some of the fantastic organizations we’re working with to push forward inclusivity and improve the way we do things!
Black Professionals in Construction (BPIC) are one of the groups playing a role in shaping our highly anticipated The UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) event. Amos Simbo, their founder, is part of our expert Advisory Group for the forum, helping to shape the content and execution of this major event.
To give you some background, BPIC was founded with the goal to increase the participation of BAME individuals within the industry whilst empowering and educating individuals. The network has helped businesses by highlighting the benefits of diversity, whilst supporting those from a black and ethnic minority background to succeed within the built environment sector.
Constructing Rainbows are another one of our core partners. They are a diversity & inclusion specialist focused on offering strategic advice and training. With a focus around not just LGBT inclusivity, but also promoting broader equality. They’ve worked with firms all across the construction and property sector…
We worked directly with Constructing Rainbows to offer a day of workshops and training to all employees. This helped to open the conversation around gender, sexuality, race and identity as well as highlighting the ways in which we all can be advocates for equality.
Constructing Rainbows played a pivotal role in helping us to draft our Diversity & Inclusion charter which has fundamentally helped us change the way we work to be more inclusive. By having a process-oriented approach it has also helped us to promote good representation not only from within our business but also with commercial partners.
As a business, we believe it’s only through collaboration that we can create a better, more equal and more inclusive world and we’re always looking to find new ways of supporting that ambition. Our partners have helped to provide vital voices and best practice in how we can improve and become a better representative of our values.
