We’ve had a fantastic year here at Built Environment Networking with a record number of events in the past year. We have successfully kept the industry talking throughout difficult global circumstances, and are connecting more professionals than ever before.
With continued restrictions throughout the first half of the year we continued with an array of fantastic virtual conferences, webinars and events – and have kept hosting them to the present!
It was a true joy to be able to network in-person again in September, which we kicked off with our wildly successful Science and Innovation Parks and Healthcare Property Conferences. To be able to host those conversations that drive change in a physical space was a real milestone.
In the past year we have pioneered hybrid conferencing, enabling seamless integration of virtual attendees and in-person attendees, to ensure accessibility to all! Not only that but we have also featured live virtual speakers at our events, pushing forward the industry standard.
We had our last major hybrid conference of this year, the University Property Development Conference yesterday (2nd December 2021). Set to take place at Kensington Town Hall, over 20 higher educational institutions are set to share insights into some of the most significant sector plans.
Our final webinar of this year, the Harrow Future Development Plans will be taking place today (3rd December 2021) and is set to explore the borough’s largest ever regeneration project – totalling more than £600m in project value!
In team news, we have also expanded significantly this year by recruiting over 10 new staff members to help us out company wide!
And looking forward to 2022, we have a range of exciting things planned that we just can’t wait to share. Major conferences exploring the South Coast, Airports, Flood Prevention, Frameworks, the North East and Northern Powerhouse are set to take place in just the first two months of the new year. So it really is full steam ahead!
We are also looking forward to our returning evening events, which will be making a comeback on the 20th of January in Edinburgh – for the first time in almost two years. We know they’ve been missed by our guests as well as us, so we can’t wait to kick them off again in Scotland.
And of course, our Inaugural UK’s Real Estate and Investment Forum (UKREiiF) three-day annual event in May is sparking massive excitement, with more than 3,000 delegates expected to attend. Despite us having tonnes to look forward to, we really think this event is the one to watch. With it being the very first of its kind, it’s going to pave the way for innovation in the development space in the UK.
So although 2021 was a truly great year for us, with all of the above and even more exciting things still yet to be announced for 2022, the future’s looking even brighter!
