Goldman Sachs unseats JPMorgan as top dealmaker in UK

Goldman Sachs has usurped JPMorgan on the UK dealmaking fee ladder as revenue plummets by 42% in Europe’s largest investment banking arena.

Goldman was bumped into poll position by its status as top M&A advisor – and thanks to the falling number of companies that raise capital on UK stock exchanges.

The two banks have battled for the top position in the City for the past ten years, but Goldman Sachs ultimately won with a 9.5% share of the market as capital activity fell last year.
